Dry Hire

Our Dry Hire Services require a contract to be signed, in short the contract covers the following points.


  • we provide the vehicle & you provide the driver.
  • For Dry Hire we provide a licensed bus, and we pay for registration fees, inspection fees, and carry out any repairs that may be necessary to keep the bus running
  • The Hirer to supply their own bus driver
  • Their bus driver must have the appropriate license for the bus they are hiring
  • The driver must conduct pre-run checks and record these checks on a check sheet
  • If the bus is being used on a Mine Site, the check sheet must be kept on the bus at all times for spot checks by the Mine operator.
  • The Hirer provides all fuel (diesel only) and Oil for the duration of the hire period
  • The Hirer is liable for the excess insurance – first $5,000 for any claim
  • The Hirer is provided with 100 kilometers per day included in the Daily Hire Rate, (additional kilometers are charged at a rate as set out on the Hire Agreement)
  • If the hirer has the bus for extended periods they must undertake regular servicing of the bus – minimum every 5,000 kilometers
  • If the bus has a flat tyre the Hirer must arrange for the spare to be fitted and the flat tyre to be repaired

Note: Any Vehicle that seats 12 persons including the driver is classed as a bus and the driver requires a minimum an LR ( Light rigid) License – I the bus seats over 25 passengers the driver requires an MR ( Medium Rigid) License. For all the buses we operate, an MR license is sufficient.
